My work focuses on the impact of climate change on human health, the therapeutic effects of psychedelic drugs, the corporate financialization of American healthcare, and the interdependence of the world around and within us. I've been supported by grants from UC Berkeley, as a recipient of the Ferriss-UC Berkeley Psychedelic Journalism Fellowship, and from the National Institute for Healthcare Management. I have a medical degree from Columbia University, completed residency training at Harvard, and work in rural emergency departments in the desert southwest, where I am a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of New Mexico. I'm represented by Katie Cacouris of The Wylie Agency.
